4 Series F36 is a distinct F32/F33/F36 body branch. A four-door fastback combining a coupe-like roofline with easier rear access and a large tailgate or sedan-style luggage opening.
The first 4 Series moved the 3 Series' coupe and cabriolet lineage into a separate model line and added the five-door F36 Gran Coupe. Reference body dimensions are 4,640 mm × 1,825 mm × 1,389 mm on a 2,810 mm wheelbase. Factory figures can vary slightly with bumpers, exterior equipment, homologation method and model year.
