G30 was the seventh-generation 5 Series sedan, using the CLAR architecture, mixed-material construction and a body up to 100 kg lighter than its predecessor by derivative.
The range expanded from combustion engines to 530e and 545e plug-in hybrids. The 2020 LCI changed the lighting, interfaces, assistance systems and electrified range.
