M3 G81 is a distinct G80/G81 body branch. The long-roof estate body adds a large rear opening and folding load area while retaining the passenger-car platform.
G80/G81 added optional M xDrive and the first series-production M3 Touring alongside the sedan. Reference body dimensions are 4,801 mm × 1,903 mm × 1,446 mm on a 2,857 mm wheelbase. Factory figures can vary slightly with bumpers, exterior equipment, homologation method and model year.
