X M / XM F97 is a distinct F97/F98 body branch. A five-door high-riding body combining a flexible cargo area with the road-focused dynamics of BMW’s X family.
F97/F98 are the first full-M X3 and X4, using the S58 engine, M xDrive and model-specific body reinforcement. Reference body dimensions are 4,726 mm × 1,897 mm × 1,669 mm on a 2,864 mm wheelbase. Factory figures can vary slightly with bumpers, exterior equipment, homologation method and model year.
